ITINERARY

Day 1: USA/Canada – Bangkok, Thailand

Depart for Bangkok on an overnight international flight. 

1-2 stopover depends on departure city.

Day 2: Arrive in Bangkok

Welcome to Thailand! Known as the City of Angels, Bangkok is the capital city and the focal point for Thailand. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the evening to rest and relax.

Day 3: Bangkok

This morning, your sightseeing in Bangkok begins with a visit to the Bangkok Chinatown District, and the Temple of Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit), home to the world's largest solid-gold Buddha statue, measuring 10 feet high, weighing over 5 tons, and valued at $14m. Then, visit the Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple) to admire its amazing statue.

Enjoy the afternoon independently, or explore Bangkok’s must-sees on our optional Landmark of Bangkok tour (USD 45/PP, Min group requirement: 10 passengers.). Tour the splendid Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, see the riverside Temple of Dawn, also known as Wat Arun, and ride a motorboat along the Chao Phraya River. (*Please note , both men and women must have their shoulders, arms and legs covered when visiting the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple*)

Day 4: Bangkok-Pattaya

Day four begins with an unforgettable experience in the Gems Gallery, where you will learn about Thailand's most prized gemstones. Afterwards, drive to scenic Pattaya (approximate 2 hours), a popular vacation spot on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand whose beaches and entertainment draw thousands of visitors annually. Upon arrival, visit the Khao Phra Tamnak (Khao Phra Bat) --- Located on a small hill on the south of Pattaya Beach, this is the best spot to see the panoramic view of Pattaya City and Pattaya Bay. Then, check in to your hotel, and the remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax on the beach or by the pool.

Day 5: Pattaya-Ayutthaya

After an early start, you’ll visit The Sanctuary of Truth - a gigantic wooden construction and one of the most interesting attractions in Pattaya! Afterwards, visit the unforgettable Sleep Museum and see first hand as Thai innovators seek ways to invent new bedding technology. The Sleep Museum outlines the history of sleep and bedding from different eras. In the afternoon, the journey to Ayutthaya, home to the UNESCO-listed ruins of the medieval capital of Siam.

Day 6: Ayutthaya-Bangkok

Founded in 1350, this royal city was a major power for over 400 years, until Burmese forces destroyed it in the 1700s. Stroll around the remains of this once-thriving city, seeing the restored chedi of the crumbled Wat Phra Mahathat which was built in 1374 at the start of the Ayutthaya era, it is an impressive temple ruin originally constructed to house Buddha relics that mysteriously appeared to an early Ayutthayan king. The temple is famed for Buddha images that have tree roots grown around them to startling effect. Afterwards, visit the Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is located off the city island in the southeastern area of Ayutthaya in present Phai Ling Sub-district. It's one of the landmarks of Ayutthaya.

In the afternoon, return transfer to Bangkok for an overnight stay. Spend the evening as you wish or join our optional tour (USD 65/PP, Min group requirement: 10 passengers.) to Asiatique Riverfront Night Market and enjoy a classic Thai dinner and dance show “Siam Niramit” at the Grand Theatre.

Day 7: Bangkok -Phuket

Today, transfer to Bangkok Airport for a short flight to Phuket, the biggest of Thailand’s islands. Measuring 30 miles long and 13 wide, this island in the Andaman Sea is famed for its white sands, crystal-clear seas, and lush rain forests. Check in to your hotel, relax and soak in the gorgeous tropical setting.

Spend today as you wish or delight in the stunning scenery of the Andaman Sea by taking our optional tour to Phi Phi Island (USD 85/PP, Min group requirement: 10 passengers.).

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and board the flight back to your home.

9) Reservation changes: changes to an existing reservation, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person charge plus any additional supplier fees. This includes name changes* and removal of any services such as optional tours and transfers. *Please note that name changes to airline reservations are subject to full cancellation and re-booking. Replacing a traveling passenger with another traveling passenger constitutes a cancellation, subject to cancellation penalties, and is not covered by this reservation changes policy. Changes or additions after departure are subject to local rates at the time of amendment and must be paid directly by the passenger to the service provider. There are no refunds for unused services.

11) All tour extension & optional programs require a minimum of 10 participants to commence. UTOvacation reserve the rights to cancel the tour extension without prior notice. In the instance of cancellation, the tour extension or optional tours shall be refunded.

12) This tour requires some walking during sightseeing. Handicap facilities are not up to the North American standard. We ask all passengers to be careful of the small steps in the old shrines and temples.
