They include a visit to the Undurraga family park, as well as a stop in Aliwen where visitors will be able to learn about the Mapuche people. The small area of Aliwen has been made to look like the South of Chile, with green vegetation and tall wooden figures from the mapuche culture. The tour will continue exploring the fine vineyards around the Maipo Vitivinícola Valley, understanding the processes of fermentation and finally visiting the old wine cellars found underground by the Santa Ana de Talagante farm. Following this, there will be a wine tasting session, resulting in each visitor taking away his or her own small sample of the wine. In addition to this, there will be an opportunity to purchase various wine and souvenirs from the Santa Ana de Talagante Farm shop.

Day 4: Santiago

Free day to relax on your own or you can join our optional program to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar.

Optional Program:

Full Day Valparaiso + Viña del Mar: U$129/person

We will leave the hotel towards the Pacific coast, crossing the fertile valleys of Curacaví and Casablanca. We will be able to see the city of Valparaíso from the viewpoints located on some of the 43 hills that surround the bay and its curious elevators called "ascensores". The historical center of this city was declared World Heritage, its architecture gives it a marked personality and enhances its tourist attraction. We will be able to observe its historical, commercial, administrative and National Congress areas. Then, we will visit the neighbouring city of Viña del Mar. We will be able to observe the Casino de Juegos, Peru Avenue and San Martin Avenue, residential sectors of modern architecture. We will arrive at Reñaca Beach, where passengers will have time for lunch (meals not included).

Day 5: Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama

Transfer to the airport to take the intra-flight to Calama. Upon arrival, you will join us for the Moon and Death Valley tour. We arrive at the Valley with a wide panoramic view of the Andes Mountain Range, the Great Atacama Salt Flat, San Pedro Oasis and the entire Salt Mountain Range. Its dunes transport us to a true landscape of another planet, with the ever-present Licancabur as a backdrop. The first stop is in the Salt Caves, impressive caves where it is possible to appreciate the heart of salt, plaster and clay of the Cordillera de la Sal. We continue in the Valley, crossing it transversally, and visiting the Amphitheater, the Three Marias, to finish finally seeing the sunset in the viewpoint of the Stone of the Coyote with a beautiful view of the Mountain range of the Andes. Return the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 6: Atacama

Free day to relax on your own or you can join our full-day High Plateau Lagoons tour.

Optional Program:

Full Day High Plateau Lagoons: U$99/person (High Attitude excursion: Not recommended for pregnant women, children under 4 years old, passengers above 70 years or people with heart or breathing conditions)

We will depart from San Pedro de Atacama towards the south, crossing the basin of the Salar de Atacama. First we will visit the town of Toconao, its Church of San Lucas and its old fruit orchards. Then we will go to the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile and the third largest salt flat in the world. Once in the salt flat, we will walk along the trails of Chaxa Lagoon, which is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. This lagoon is a nesting site and habitat for the three species of flamingos that inhabit Chile: Andean flamingo, Chilean flamingo and James" flamingo. Afterwards, we will visit the Altiplánicas lagoons, starting with the Miscanti lagoon. It is the nesting place for the Altiplano bird, and is located at the foot of Mount Miscanti, in the Andes Mountains. On the way back, we will pass through the town of Socaire, a place characterized by the maintenance of cultivation terraces since pre-Hispanic times. At the end, we will arrive at San Pedro de Atacama, where our tour ends.

Day 7: Atacama

You have a free morning to enjoy your own activity or join our optional tour. In the afternoon, a tour to Puritama Hot Springs is included.

Morning activity: Optional Tour to Tatio Geysers

Afternoon activity: Half day tour to Puritama Hot Springs (included in tour fare)

To enhance your experience, you can join our optional tour in the morning. In the afternoon, we will take you to the Puritama Hot Springs. Heading northeast from San Pedro de Atacama, 30 kilometres (18.6 miles) away, we will find the Puritama River. Thanks to the sector’s volcanic activity, the temperature of the waters that flow from the mountain range rises, turning this place into one of the most sought out tourism sites in the sector. In addition, the place has all the necessary services for a comfortable visit and, thus, nature gives us the possibility of enjoying this landscape, with a delightful bath in its 33°C (91.4°F) waters rich in minerals that have medicinal properties. In this canyon, where the Puritama river flows, we find one of the richest places in terms of plants and wildlife of the sector that surrounds the town of San Pedro de Atacama. Pampas grasses create a border between the water and the rest of the landscape. At the salt bushes, several bird species, such as the Grey-hooded Sierra-finch, the Scale-throated Earthcreeper, and the Grassland Yellow-finch, among others, provide us with the ideal scenery to fully enjoy nature. You can also enjoy the rest of the day by joining our half-day optional tour to see the Tatio Geysers.

Surrounded by spurts of water and vapor, we will enjoy the beauty of the Andes in its natural scenery.
