Day 1: Arrive Lima

Arrive Lima from your own town. Upon arriving at Lima International Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Optional Program - Water Circuit by Night (Light Show): $89 per person

At 18:00 hrs we will pick you up from your hotel to begin the visit to the "Magic Water Circuit", a complex of green spaces of 180,000 square meters with 13 ornamental fountains and striking lighting effects that have set a Guinness Record to be the largest fountain complex of the world in a public park.

The main pool of this circuit squirts water reaching 80 meters height. A crown of vertical jet creates the fantasy multi-colored laser projections, while the vast central dome water forms the image of a Lily flower. The main attraction is the “Fuente de la Fantasía”, a cybernetic pool 120 meters long that, thanks to technology, turns water into a dance and colour show.

Day 2: Lima

You will start the panoramic city tour where you can see the Colonial Center, the Major Square, the Government Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Archbishop"s Palace and the Municipality of Lima. Likewise, you will visit the convent of San Francisco, a convent with cloisters and catacombs of the Colonial period. The tour will continue through the traditional, residential and commercial areas of Lima to end with a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the beaches of the Miraflores district.

Gastronomic Tour in Lima: $149 per person

After pickup from your hotel, we will start our culinary adventure at a traditional Peruvian market where our guide will introduce you to the natural products and ingredients such as fruits, spices and seasonings that are the base of our famous food. Following, we will go to a recognized restaurant which has a privileged location right on the shore of the Pacific Ocean where you will delight in the culinary pleasures Peru has to offer and you will learn to prepare the famous Pisco Sour and our celebrated ceviche. Then, you will be able to enjoy an exquisite beachfront gourmet lunch.

La Huaca Pucllana Dinner with round trip transfers from hotel: $129 per person

At the arranged time, we will pick you up from the hotel to transfer you to Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, where we will be able to enjoy a fantastic 3-courses dinner with view to the archaeological rest. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Lima to Cusco to Sacred Valley

At the indicated time, transfer to the airport in Lima to board your flight to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel to Sacred Valley. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 4: Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu to Sacred Valley

Visit to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu. At the indicated time, transfer to the train station to start the excursion to the Sacred City of Machu Picchu, recognized as one of the wonders of the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The train takes us to the town of Aguas Calientes, from where we will ascend by bus to the Archaeological Centre and start the guided tour that lasts approximately 2 hours. During the visit you can see temples, squares, terraces, houses, barns, as well as the great biodiversity that exists in the surroundings. It is worth noting that the beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scenery where it is located. Around the citadel has been formed a National Reserve that has an area of 32,500 hectares, and that includes a constellation of archaeological monuments, which, in our opinion, were built as part of the Machu Picchu complex and not in isolation. At the indicated time we will return to Sacred Valley.

Note: The baggage policy on board the Expedition train is 1 bag or backpack per person weighing a maximum of max. 5kg / 11lb.

Day 5: Sacred Valley to Cusco

Enjoy a day at your leisure in the Sacred Valley. At the indicated time, transfer back to Cusco.

Cusco at night is an open book, just waiting to offer you experiences that you are sure to carry with you in your heart forever. Explore the city with us on a journey through its creative night-time cocktails. We will start off at Pachapapa restaurant with traditional local cuisine and more, forging a powerful connection with the earth as we learn to prepare a Cholo Sour coca leaf cocktail. Next up is the refined creativity of Cantonese culture at Kion Peruvian-Chinese restaurant, where we will learn to combine pisco with a dose of ginger. After that, we end our tour at Calle del Medio Restaurant, where we will savour a pisco punch with a view of the Plaza de Armas, ready to let ourselves be carried away by the music.

Day 6: Cusco

You will be joining this half-day Cusco tour. You will be picked you up from the hotel to start the tour of the colonial city, built on the bases of Inca palaces. In the tour we will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Temple of the Sun, also known as Qoricancha, and the Cathedral of Cusco, where we can see beautiful paintings and sculptures. Then we will continue to the archaeological centre of Sacsayhuaman, a multipurpose place where the Sun, the Moon and the Earth were worshiped, and which was also used as a military fortress and an astrological centre. Later we arrived at Q"enco, a cult centre related to the fire element. We continue with Puca Pucara, a place used as a supply centre and Inca checkpoint, where wind ceremonies were also held. At the end of the tour we will arrive at Tambomachay, centre of cult to water and fertility.

At the arranged time, we will pick you up from your hotel to visit some restaurants with its own special personality to match its unique culinary proposal. We will journey through the different cuisines alongside our chef on a personalized private tour. We will discover all of the nuances of Peruvian cooking and its fusions with cuisines from around the world. Learn something new about each of the cultures that have inspired us. We will start with the Nikkei knowhow behind the sushi maki, before continuing with alpaca meat and ceviche, and finishing your trip with chicharroz and a lucuma crema volteada for dessert. We will discover Cusco flavour by flavour, cuisine by cuisine, dish by dish. Don’t miss this unforgettable journey through the tastes of Peru.

Day 7: Cusco to Lima

At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight to Lima. Arrive, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Lima.

Day 8: Lima Departure

At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for the international flight back home.
