Day 1: US - Night on board

Pack your bags and head to your departure airport, ready for a flight to the eternal city of Rome.* Night on board.

Day 2: Rome

Arrive in Rome, find your own transportation to your hotel or you can choose the optional private airport pick-up service ($120 / Person--Minimum to 2 ppl ). After settling in at the hotel, you can begin exploring the city on your own. Overnight stay in Rome.

Day 3: Rome

Have breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, enjoy some leisure time to explore around then set out for a guided tour covering three of Rome’s top archaeological sites. Step inside the Colosseum, the iconic amphitheater that housed gladiator battles for centuries. Traverse paths once walked by Julius Caesar while exploring the ruins of Rome’s former political, social, and commercial center, The Roman Forum. Take in views of the city from Palatine Hill, the place from which – legend has it – Romulus founded the city in 753 BCE.

Spend the rest of the day exploring the historic cobblestone streets of Rome on your own, or join the optional programs (details below). Overnight stay in Rome.

You’ll stroll through the artistic heart of Rome while discovering its celebrated piazzas – the Italian equivalent of town squares – and fountains. Visit Piazza Navona, arguably Rome’s most famous piazza, home to the ornate Fountain of the Four Rivers. See the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi (a parish for Rome’s French community); the 2nd-century era Pantheon (one of Rome’s best-preserved monuments); and the legendary Trevi Fountain (of La Dolce Vita fame). The tour ends at the 135 travertine Spanish Steps that ascend from Piazza di Spagna.

Day 4: Rome

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Rome on your own or join the optional program and visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with a guide. Overnight stay in Rome.

Optional program (day): Skip-the-line guided tour of the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel. U$129/person

Along its 4 miles of halls and corridors, the Vatican Museums showcase one of the world’s greatest art collections. Highlights include Michelangelo’s ceiling fresco in the Sistine Chapel; and Museo Pio-Cementino’s impeccable Greek and Roman statues set in rooms filled with Raphael frescoes. End your Vatican visit at the incredible St. Peter’s Basilica, appreciating the cupola (dome) designed by Michelangelo and the atmospheric St. Peter’s Square.

Day 5: Rome - Florence

Grab breakfast at the hotel, self-transfer to the train station, Roma termini to catch the high-speed train to Florence (Firenze). Arrive in Florence, the heart of the Renaissance, and make your way to the hotel on your own. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight stay in Florence.

Day 6: Florence

After breakfast, join a guided walking tour of Florence’s Historic Center where you’ll discover the hidden secrets of the Tuscan capital. Start at the beautiful Piazza della Repubblica, before heading to Loggia del Mercato Nuovo, an open-air market set beneath Renaissance-era arches. Continue your walk through enchanting Florence until you reach its most famous bridge: Ponte Vecchio. This medieval stone bridge is notable both for the shops built along it and its status as Florence’s sole surviving bridge after the Second World War. Make your way to Piazza Della Signoria where you’ll find a copy of Michelangelo’s David statue and the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, a fortress palace turned present-day mayor’s office. End the tour at Piazza San Giovanni, home to the impressive Florence Cathedral, with its terracotta-colored Brunelleschi cupola and the famous Giotto Belltower. Day 7: Florence

Day 8: Florence - Venice

After breakfast, self-transfer to the rail station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, to catch the high-speed train to Venezia Santa Lucia in Venice (Venezia). Once you arrive in the romantic city of Venice, self-transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Built across 100+ small islands, Venice is a pleasure to explore on foot. Get lost on its winding streets, and stumble across hidden cafes and cultural gems along the way. Overnight stay in Venice.

Day 9: Venice

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then set off on a guided walking tour through Venice. Today will take you along fascinating streets and across glittering canals. Admire Piazza San Marco (the city’s main public square), where its namesake Basilica, the Gothic-style Doge’s Palace, the Campanile (belltower), and the Clock Tower are located. Soak up the lively atmosphere of the Campo, a bustling square next to the Church of Santa Maria. Continue to marvel at the grand Basilica of San Giovanni e Paolo, uncover legendary tales of Marco Polo and finally return to St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) by strolling through the main Venetian shopping street, the Mercerie, and immerse yourself in the historic buzz of the city.
