Day 12: Hiroshima

Today, your ship will dock in Hiroshima. You can join the excursion package we offer to enhance your overall experience.

Optional Program: Hiroshima Highlight Tour at U$99/person (minimum 10 people)

The Peace Memorial Park and Museum, a sobering memorial to the dreadful day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, must be seen as part of any trip to the city.

It takes only a short distance to get to the city"s core after boarding your motorcoach and crossing the Ta River. The Park, which covered over 30 acres, had been a vibrant economic hub since the 17th century. The Peace Memorial Park and Museum was built in 1955 as a touching memorial to the 70,000 people who died. Doves are a sign of peace, and flocks of them are frequently seen soaring across the park.

When you walk towards the Atomic Dome after getting off the bus, you"ll notice the calm quiet in the air. The structure, which served as the Hiroshima Prefectural Commercial Exhibition Hall to advertise items made in the region, was destroyed when the A-bomb detonated. The top is exposed with burned, naked steel, but most of the walls are still there. When the explosion hit the structure from above, several walls didn"t completely collapse. The Dome, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, serves as the city"s emblem for the fight for the elimination of nuclear weapons and permanent peace.

You will pass the Peace Clock Tower as you make your way through the Peace Memorial Park from here. The Tower, which rises 65 feet into the sky, is made up of three iron pillars that stand in for the joined hands of the Hiroshima people in prayer. The tower"s clock, which chimes every day at exactly 8:15 to mark the moment of the bombing, is located there. The Peace Bell and a pond that blooms with lovely lotus blossoms in August are nearby.

The Children"s Peace Memorial, which is located further down, honours the memory of Sadako Sasaki, a little girl who had leukaemia after being exposed to atomic radiation and passed away ten years after the attack. The bronze statue of a girl holding a crane is perched on the three-legged pedestal. The sculptures of a kid and a girl on either side of the pedestal stand for a hopeful future.

The Museum is located in the Park"s middle. The East Building is a collection of before-and-after models, photographs, paintings, and videos that showcases the city. One of Japan"s significant cultural assets is The Main Building. There are A-bomb artefacts and materials within that describe the terrible impact powerful heat rays and radiation had on the Hiroshima population. Also, you may listen to the gloomy survivor tales, and you are urged to write words of peace.

You"ll get back in your motorcoach when the trip is over so you can travel back to your ship.

Day 13: At Sea

Today, your cruise will sail at sea. The cruise line offers activities throughout the day.

Day 14: Busan

Today, your ship will dock in Busan. You can join the excursion package we offer to enhance your overall experience.

Optional Program: Haedong Yonggungsa Temple Tour at U$89/person (minimum 10 people)

This tranquil and educational half-day trip takes you via one of Korea"s most well-known beaches to a fascinating temple by the sea.

You will board the motorcoach at the port with your helpful local guide in tow for the breathtaking ride through lovely countryside to the stunning Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.

This temple is unquestionably one of the most stunning in all of Busan, and the peculiar setting beside the water just enhances the serene ambiance. To gain a better look at this stunning monument, which features a three-story pagoda adorned with lions, be prepared to walk 108 steps. Once inside, your tour guide will describe the myth surrounding the Great Lady Buddha, who is claimed to come on a dragon and resides in the sea.

Reboard the bus and enjoy the ride along the stunning Haeundae Beach. Haeundae, often regarded as Korea"s most well-liked beach, draws a lot of tourists and gets its name from Choi Chi-won, a poet and scholar of the Silla dynasty who wrote from a pavilion there in the ninth century.

Go towards Dongbaekseom Island and APEC House, which was constructed for the 2005 APEC Economic Leaders Conference, by continuing along the coastline road.

The structure is surrounded by lovely forests of camellia and pine trees, which is another distinctive and scenic site. Together with the numerous delegates who attend, it frequently holds international conferences. In addition, you can see the Mermaid Statue, which is perched on a rock formation along the coast.

After you arrive to the lovely Gukje International Market, which is home to around 300 shops selling crafts, artwork, and antiques, you may spend some time shopping for souvenirs. You may see and cross the stunning 24,000-foot Gwangan Grand Bridge, which was finished in 2003, on your route to the market.

Return to the ship with your purchases and memories after shopping.

Day 15: At Sea

Today, your cruise will sail at sea. The cruise line offers activities throughout the day.

Day 16: Hakodate

Today, your ship will dock in Hakodate. You can join the excursion package we offer to enhance your overall experience.

Optional Program: The Best of Hakodate Tour at U$199/person (minimum 10 people)

Searching for a brief yet unforgettable tour of Hakodate that takes you from sea level to the summit of a mountain? This fascinating full-day excursion takes you from your ship to the highest peak with a view of the third-largest city on Hokkaido. Think of the expansive vistas you"ll see on your aerial tram ride as you stroll up the mountain"s 1,099-foot walking trails and take in the metropolis.

Take the bus to the Morning Market, which is close to the Hakodate Train Station.

Fine seafood is famously produced in Hokkaido"s frigid seas. Fresh fish, salmon roe, scallops, crab, and sea urchin are all available from merchants at the morning Market. The fresh and dried items in the market are superb. A large variety of foods are available for purchase at restaurants and food stalls, including domburi topped with sea urchin and other delights.

Proceed to the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway, which is actually an aerial tram and maybe the busiest tram in the entire country of Japan. To see magnificent views of the port and the city, your tram journey ascends about half a mile to the peak. There are viewing platforms, a café, and two memorials on the summit of this extinct volcano. One monument honours Thomas Blakiston, an English explorer and biologist who found the boundary separating the fauna of Japan and Siberia known as the Blakiston Line. The second monument is dedicated to Tadataka Inoh, who created the initial survey map of Japan.

Trappistine Convent, the first nunnery to be established in Japan, is the next destination.

The current church structure was constructed in 1927 and has elements of both Gothic and Romanesque architecture, such as the brick facade and the semicircular-arched windows. Although visitors are not allowed inside, the setting is calm and magnificent.

Enjoy exploring the lovely garden, admiring the religious artefacts, and shopping for treats like Madeleine cake, which the nuns who live there make.

Go ahead and ascend Goryokaku Tower for views of the famed Fort Goryokaku, which was finished in the last years of the Edo era. Japan"s first Western-style citadel was a large, pentagonal, moated stronghold. During the Meiji Restoration, there was a significant uprising in the fort. The fort was taken over by shogunate-aligned forces, who remained there until they were overpowered by the Imperial Army. The fort is now a public park and famous for its magnificent cherry tree groves.

Stop and have lunch at a nearby eatery. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse District, which has been renovated, is where you"ll go next. These red brick warehouses, which date back to 1909, are a remnant of the city"s former trade with the West. In addition to restaurants and stores, the complex now houses the Hakodate Beer Hall, one of Hokkaido"s first microbreweries.

Take your motor bus for the trip back to the ship after that.

Day 17: Aomori

Today, your ship will dock in Aomori. You can join the excursion package we offer to enhance your overall experience.

Optional Program: Sukayu Hot Spring Onsen Experience at U$169/person (minimum 10 people)

Sukayu Hot Spring Onsen is the first place you"ll go.

The Sukayu Hot Spring, which is located on Mt. Odake"s western slope, has been around since 1684.

This 320-year-old resort is renowned as the 1,000-person bath and was named the "first hot spring for the health of the nation" in 1954 due to its size of over 2,800 square feet. Respecting the other bathers and enhancing this real experience will come from adhering to the onsen"s traditions. Take a Japanese bath to be ready, and then join the onsen without splashing. No bathing suits are permitted.

Your day starts at the port when you board a motorcoach and go into the volcanic Hakkoda Mountain range. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL SEE ALONG THE WAY. Jogakura-Ohashi Bridge: traverse it. It was finished in 1995, and at 825 feet long and 400 feet high, it is the largest steel arch bridge in Japan. When you reach the hilly Sukayu Hot Spring region, enjoy the stunning sights.

LUNCH: Have a traditional Japanese meal inside the "ryokan," a traditional Japanese inn, which is located on the grounds of Sukayu Hot Spring.

Day 18: At Sea

Today, your cruise will sail at sea. The cruise line offers activities throughout the day.

Day 19: Yokohama Cruise Disembarkation

Today, you will disembark from the cruise and at the indicated time, self-transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day at leisure.

Optional Program: Yokohama Highlight Tour at U$89/person (minimum 10 people)

Visit the Sankeien Garden in the morning. There are cherry blossom trees, ponds, and traditional Japanese buildings all across this lovely Japanese garden. This place is so tranquil that you could easily stay here for a few hours. Take a trip to the Cup Noodle Museum. Visitors to this instant ramen museum may learn about the background of the well-known snack and even create their own unique cup of noodles. Visit Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 to discover the neighbourhood and take advantage of its various activities. See the Cosmo Clock 21, a massive Ferris wheel that gives breathtaking views of the harbour, or the Yokohama Landmark Tower, which offers panoramic views of the city from its observation deck on the 69th level.
