HD City Tour (including walking tour in Barranco) + Larco Museum
At the set time we will start the panoramic city tour where we can see the Colonial Center, the Major Square, the Government Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Archbishop's Palace and the Municipality of Lima. Likewise, we will visit the convent of San Francisco, a convent with cloisters and catacombs of the Colonial period.
The tour will continue through the traditional, residential and commercial areas of Lima to end with a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the beaches of the Miraflores district.
Larco Museum: The Larco Museum is a privately owned museum of pre-Columbian art, located in the Pueblo Libre District of Lima, Peru. The museum is housed in an 18th-century vice-royal building. It showcases chronological galleries that provide a thorough overview of 5,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history.
Dinner at Huaca Pucclana Restaurant: In the 5th century of our era, the inhabitants of the Lima Valley began the construction of the Huaca Puccllana. Pucllana was, therefore, an important ceremonial and administrative center. Its greatness is reflected in the configuration of a monumental architecture, made of small adobe and forged on the basis of continuous attachments and remodeling, carried out during the three centuries that it was in force.
Our restaurant maintains with justifiable pride a culinary philosophy whose fundamental concept lies in using the flavors of Peru as a base, interpreting according to classic cooking techniques, as well as contemporary styles and the demands of the most exquisite palates. With the qualified contribution of Arturo Rubio, promoter of the restaurant, and our chefs Marilú Madueno and Andrea Massaro, the restaurant offers a renewed meal whose foundation is Peruvian cuisine, with its rich variety of products, whether they are sea fish, shellfish, or what forms the immense range of vegetables, with all colors, textures and flavors.

At the coordinated time, we will pick you up from your hotel to start our exclusive imperial city tour, visiting the San Pedro Market, where we will soak up the local flavor and get acquainted with the products of the area in this market that supplies the entire city. Next, we will get away from the crowds and make a first stop at the San Cristóbal viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. We will continue to Sacsayhuamán, a multipurpose place where the Sun, the Moon and the Earth were worshiped, and which was also used as a military fortress and astrological center. Later we arrive at Q'enco, a cult center related to the fire element. We continue with Puca Pucara, a place used as a supply center and Inca checkpoint, where ceremonies were also held in the wind. At the end of the tour we will arrive at Tambomachay, a center of worship of water and fertility. Return to the city of Cusco. Lunch included.
Then, we will visit the Main Square and the imposing Cathedral of Cusco, which houses colonial works of great value. Next, we will continue to the temple of the Qoricancha to admire all its magnificence. The Quechua name "Qoricancha" means "Golden Enclosure" and its splendor is still felt among those walls that were once totally covered with gold. Immediately after, we will go to San Blas, the neighborhood of Cusco artisans. This part of the tour will be a short and easy descent on foot, visiting some of the galleries of the most recognized artisans in the city, until reaching Hatun Rumiyoc Street. In this street we will find the Inca Roca Palace, today known as the Archbishop's Palace, and finally we will have time to admire the world-famous Twelve Angled Stone. Return to the hotel.
Overnight at Xima Exclusive Cusco.
Full Day visit to Chincheros, Maras & Moray, Ollantaytambo
At 8.30 am we will start our excursion to Chincheros. The Incas believed that in Chincheros born the rainbow and that is reason enough to visit this scenic town. However, there are several reasons for this excursion. At our first stop we will have a meeting with textile craftswomen that will offer us a demonstration of the beautiful fabrics that we will make, as well as the ancestral dyeing techniques with which they work until today. Then we will visit the archaeological complex, then visit the Colonial Church of the town, since we have incredible views of the mountain. Finally, we will visit the small craft market, located in the middle of the narrow streets of the town, where you can find handicrafts that are a true marvel. Then we will go to the town of Maras, reaching the Salineras Mines that capture the underground water of the mountain and condense it into more than 4,000 artesian wells, which since ancient times served as a supply centre for the Inca Empire.
We will continue our tour visiting the archaeological centre of Moray, the results of its terraces in circular form, more than 30 meters deep, with several rings of concentric terraces, one of each, a different micro climate, a living sign of having been a great centre of experimentation and scientific research for agricultural purposes.
Finally, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, an Inca city still inhabited that preserves a complex system of irrigation canals and foundations from that time, on which a large part of the town was built. The archaeological centre of Ollantaytambo has large groups of platforms, forts, squares, canals and the Real Casa del Sol, a megalithic temple of great mystical value. After this visit, we will transfer you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Overnight at Sonesta Posada del Inca Yucay.

From the town of Aguas Calientes, we will ascend by bus to the Archaeological Center and start the guided tour that has duration of 2 hours approx. During the visit you can see temples, squares, terraces, houses, barns, as well as the great biodiversity that exists in the surroundings. It is worth noting that the beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scenery where it is located.
Around the citadel has been formed a National Reserve that has an area of 32,500 hectares, and that includes a constellation of archaeological monuments, which in our opinion, were built as part of the Machu Picchu complex and not in isolation.

Peru
Peru is a country with more than 10,000 years of history. It was the seat of the fabulous Inca Empire, but long before that, ancient civilizations bequeathed to the world superb samples of a glorious past like Caral; the royal tombs of Sipan, the most lavish burial of America; the enigmatic Nasca lines; or the portentous Kuelap fortress.
An exquisite territory, with a cuisine positioned as one of the best in the world. A rainbow of sounds, flavors and colors that are manifested in more than 50 native languages still in use, thousands of dances and ancestral musical instruments that can be seen and heard in large festivals and processions. Peru is a country that encompasses infinite destinations and is home to millions of people who are waiting for it with open arms.
GEOGRAPHY
Peru is located in the western part of South America. It borders Ecuador and Colombia to the north, Brazil to the east, Bolivia to the southeast and Chile to the south. Its territory is made up of diverse landscapes: the valleys, altiplano and high peaks of the Andes Mountains spread out towards the desert coast in the west and the Amazon in the east.
The extension of the Peruvian territory reaches 1,285,215 km². Peru is determined by the presence of the Andes Mountain Range, which crosses the territory from the South to the North, configuring three clearly differentiated areas: The Coast, the Highlands and the Jungle.
CLIMATE
Peru's climate is very varied due to its size and the difference in altitude between different parts of the country. In general, we can say that there are three types of climate, according to the area of the country:
COIN
The official currency of Peru is the Nuevo Sol divided into 100 cents. It circulates in coins of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents, 1, 2 and 5 Nuevos Soles and in bills of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 Nuevos Soles.
VOLTAGE, FREQUENCY AND PLUG/OUTLET TYPE IN PERU
Electricity in Peru is 220 Volts. Standard outlets accept round prongs; some have dual-voltage outlets which take flat prongs. Even so, your adapter may need a built-in surge protector.
TIME ZONE
UTC-5.
LANGUAGE
The official language is Spanish. In some areas, Quechua, Aymara and the other indigenous languages are also predominant. Spanish is spoken by 80.3 per cent of the population, Quechua by 16.2 per cent, other indigenous languages by 3 per cent and foreign languages by 0.2 per cent of the population.
ECONOMY
Peru's mineral wealth is the country's most important resource and largest source of income. Gold, silver, iron, lead, coal and copper, among others, abound in the various regions. Peru also has oil resources. Agriculture also occupies a significant role in the country's economy and the production of corn, cereals, cotton, potatoes, rice and sugar cane are important, as well as coffee, onions, garlic and tropical fruits. Other important sectors for the country's economy are tourism, fishing and manufacturing.
Travel tips and suggestions
1. Best Time to Travel
The best season to travel to Peru will depend on the activity you want to do. If your plan is to travel to Peruvian beaches, many of which are near valleys and deserts, the climate is generally quite good throughout the year without being too extreme for heat or cold, however, the ideal months to visit this destination are between December to March.
On the other hand, if you want to visit the mountain area, in the famous Andes, the climate is very varied and is dominated by its different heights. In the months of June, July, August and September you can enjoy more days of sunshine in this area.
In the Amazon area of Peru, you will find two outstanding seasons. The months of heavy rain between November to March, then the season of low rainfall from April to October, without leaving the high humidity that has the area throughout the year.
2. What to wear
The country has many places of tourist interest, so it will be like making several trips in one. Depending on your tastes and preferences you will pack different things, it all depends on the places you want to visit and the activities you want to do there.
For example, in the Amazon it is hot and humid, while at the highest points of the Andes it is freezing cold. You will also need mountain equipment for your hiking routes, especially comfortable shoes. So, make a good planning considering the weather and the activities to be done.
3. What to do
The most visited places by tourists are: the city of Lima and its historical center; Cuzco which is characterized by its Inca and colonial architecture; the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu; Arequipa for its historical center; and finally Puno by Lake Titicaca. The main tourist circuit of the country is the southern circuit, which includes cities like; Ica, Nazca, Pisco, Paracas, Arequipa, Chivay, Puno, Cuzco, Ayacucho and Puerto Maldonado. All these places have architectural, cultural and natural attractions of great importance.
4. Other facts and tips
Best things to do in the area
1. Visit The Uros Island
The Uros Island is a group of artificial islands that are located in Lake Titicaca. These were created by the Uros, who were an ethnic group before the Incas, originally from Bolivia. To escape from the wars, they built these islands and took refuge in them.
Nowadays, these lands are inhabited by families and each one owns its own plot of land. You can visit them by taking a tour and meet the families living there. These families currently live from handicrafts and tourism.
2. Visit Moray Ruins
They are an impressive archaeological complex located 74 kilometers from the city of Cusco and 3,500 meters above sea level. This area stands out for showing a series of unique circular platforms that look like amphitheaters. The ruins of Moray were built on retaining walls and it is believed that they were used by the Indians as an agricultural research center and for astronomical observation.
3. Visit The Nazca Lines
The Nazca Lines are geoglyphs (figures built on hillsides or plains) located in the Nazca Desert. They were created by an ancient culture. These designs stand out for the perfection with which they were made. They are wonderful to look at and impressive for their dimensions. These sculptures were declared a world heritage site.
Main Atractions and Destinations
1- Lima
It is the capital and largest city of Peru. With a population of 9 million, Lima has become a bustling metropolis with a mix of colonial mansions and modern buildings, beautiful parks and bohemian bars. The historic centre of Lima was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 due to the large number of historic buildings dating from the Spanish colonial period.
2- Cusco
One of the most fascinating tourist places in Peru, home to invaluable historical and cultural treasures, ruins that still allow us to visualize the splendor of what was the capital of the Inca Empire, and magnificent civil and religious buildings that show the richness of its colonial era.
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it allows you to go back in time, walking through narrow streets that make their way among beautiful colonial buildings built on the base of ancient Inca palaces, or among small squares full of history surrounded by cafes, restaurants and bars.
3- Sacred Valley of the Incas
A magical area of ravines, archaeological sites and picturesque colonial villages, which follow one another, inhabited by indigenous communities, who have kept their traditions and customs alive over time.
Its main enclaves correspond to the archaeological complex and town of Pisac, the town of Chinchero with its famous weavers and the archaeological zone of Ollantaytambo, the only
Inca city that is practically intact, and whose constructions today are inhabited by their descendants.
4- Machu Picchu
An impressive Inca city built at an altitude of 2360 meters above sea level, a breathtaking landscape of walls, terraces and ramps that seem to be carved into the rock itself, immersed among majestic mountain peaks, cliffs and the greenery of the Amazon forest.

6- Titicaca Lake
It is located at 3,812 meters above sea level on the border of Peru and Bolivia and is the highest navigable lake in the world.
The greatest attraction are its islands, home to various indigenous communities that keep their ancestral traditions alive.

It is the gateway to the extraordinary beauty of the Amazon rainforest, the largest tropical forest on the planet, declared in 2011 as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. From the city, most of the exploration routes that allow you to go deep into its virgin forests start, either by sailing on the mighty Amazon River or by hiking through its impressive reserves.
Traditional gastronomy of the region
Peruvian cuisine is considered one of the most important in the world. Its variety and influence of other cultures (Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic) make its meals really special. Lima, its capital, is considered as "The Gastronomical Capital of the Americas". The famous dishes and typical drinks that are distinguished in the country are:
1- Ceviche: this dish consists of a combination of fresh fish and seafood marinated in lemon juice.
2- Lomo saltado: The lomo saltado was born thanks to the fusion of Peruvian and Chinese cuisine and consists of fried pieces of meat with onion and tomato.
3- Pachamanca: This is a typical Peruvian dish, made by cooking beef, pork, chicken and guinea pig, as well as other ingredients. Everything is cooked under the heat of the stones that are heated with the combustion of wood.
4- Potato "a la huancaína": The dish consists of boiled potatoes covered with a cream of cheese, oil, salt, yellow pepper and milk so that it has consistency.

10- Chicha Morada: It is a drink prepared with boiled purple corn. When the corn is cold, pineapple peel, cinnamon, a little lemon juice and sugar are added.
