My Story about Heidi Peters

There is another memorable story that occurred at the Ontario Special Olympics Golf Championship. 

This story is about my sister in law. She is 1 of about 400,000 that are living today with down syndrome. While she has had setbacks through her life she powers through them and has made amazing accomplishments throughout her life.

As a member of Lions Clubs International, I have often been involved with Special Olympics – a program that LCI strongly support with our “Seeing Eyes” project globally.  

For my daughter's 12th birthday, she could choose a trip anywhere she wanted to go to in the world. That was a daunting task, and she couldn't decide.
