This story is about my sister in law. She is 1 of about 400,000 that are living today with down syndrome. While she has had setbacks through her life she powers through them and has made amazing accomplishments throughout her life.

As a member of Lions Clubs International, I have often been involved with Special Olympics – a program that LCI strongly support with our “Seeing Eyes” project globally.

While on my bucket list trip to China, it was extremely hot. On one of the hottest days of the trip, it was close to 100 degrees F, we went to the Great Wall of China. It was amazing, and one of my proudest accomplishments is that even in the heat, I made it to the top.

I went on a UTO trip with my friend for the first time to China and Japan back on November 4, 2019. It was organized and pm time wherever we went. The hotels were better than I expected. I enjoyed the places we visited and the local tour guides.
